Tournament Recap: Sunapee Lake Showdown - 2024 Season
The Battle of Bedding Smallmouth & BIG Largemouth Bass:
As the day unfolded, anglers quickly discovered smallmouth and largemouth species are in play at Sunapee Lake. While largemouth bass dominated the scene for the longest and heaviest fish, smallmouth also made a big appearance, providing anglers with a varied and exciting limits.
Length Winner, Lunker Winner & Tournament Of Champions Angler:
Tyler Stratton made history with a record-breaking performance, shattering the tournament record for a three-fish limit with an amazing total length of 63 inches. Tyler was able to secure some helpful hints from a friend, which paid off. Tyler was able to secure over a 50" 3 fish limit using football jig's for smallmouth within the first couple of hours. By hour 3, he was able to secure his Lunker & Largest length fish of the day. He caught a 5Lb 15oz Largemouth on a SENKO.
Tyler also secured his spot in the Tournament Of Champions.

Jon McGlashan with a three-fish limit totaling 60" with a 3lbs 7oz Smallmouth Lunker
Corey Sullivan with a 5lbs 11oz Largemouth Lunker
Tony Nappo with a three-fish limit totaling 56" with a 4lb 10oz Smallmouth Lunker
Jackson Mercer with a three-fish limit totaling 55" and a 4lb Smallmouth Lunker
Chris Burnell with a three-fish limit totaling 52" and a 3lbs 1oz Smallmouth Lunker
