The Battle of Powder Mill
The Powder Mill tournament took place under heat and very still conditions, creating a challenging environment for mostly all participants. With the sun blazing and not a hint of wind, anglers had to dig deep (well shallow) to secure their bag. Despite the tough conditions, two anglers managed to stand out and earn their spots in the Tournament of Champions.
Length Winner, Lunker Winner & Tournament Of Champions Angler:
In an impressive display of skill, Thomas Hopkinson emerged as the Length Winner with a phenomenal 3 fish limit of 54 inches and also claimed the Lunker title with a 3 lb 8 oz largemouth. His performance secured him a coveted spot in the Tournament of Champions.
Tournament Of Champions Angler:
Carsen Feinberg also earned a spot in the Tournament of Champions with a 14” smallmouth. As the other non-Tournament of Champions anglers did not catch a fish at the 12” minimum,
Carsen’s catch stood out on such a tough day.
The Board:
Place | Angler | Length | Weight |
1 | Thomas Hopkinson | 54 | 3 lbs 8 oz |
Carsen Feinberg | 14” | - |
As the Powder Mill tournament concluded, participants reflected on the sweltering day and prepared for the upcoming tournament at Massasecum.
The next tournament will continue the journey through the 2024 season. Join us as anglers tackle new waters and refine their skills.
Until next time, tight lines!
