Tournament Recap: Second Showdown at Lake Waukewan - 2024 Season
Southern NH Bass Series returned to the waters with anticipation and excitement for the second tournament of the 2024 season, hosted on Lake Waukewan. With the sun rising over the calm waters and the promise of tough (but fun) competition.
The Battle of Bedding Smallmouth:
As the day unfolded, anglers quickly discovered that Lake Waukewan had a surprise in store: a majority of the catches were smallmouth bass guarding their beds. While largemouth bass made a notable appearance, it was the smallmouth that stole the show, putting everyone's skills to the test.
Length Winner & Tournament Of Champion Angler:
Jon McGlashan: Leading the pack with an impressive three-fish limit totaling 57 inches, Jon showcased his expertise in targeting and landing quality fish. He spent most of the day filling up on bedded smallie's, and then transitioned to largemouth with success! Congratulations!
Jon gained his entry into the Tournament Of Champions
Lunker Winner:
King Carsen: The youngest angler among the group (6 years old), showcased his ability to catch quality fish. By doing so his 3.0LB smallmouth was at the top of the board earning him his first Lunker Of The Day, which he caught on a orange ned rig.
Notable Catches:
Jackson Mercer, Tyler Stratton, and Chris Gambaccini: Not far behind, these anglers each secured a three-fish limit at 53"
